Bill started Bear Mechanical in 1970, teaching his sons about hard work, and the importance of integrity. Bill stops in regularly, and continues to be a resource for Tony and the shop.
Tony is a second generation business owner. Having worked here since he was young, he has the inherit vision which has expanded Bear's services. Tony has the organizational skills and drive to get things done!
Corey has been in the machining industry for more than 20 years. He has a vast understanding of machining and fabrication systems. If you have a parts problem, this is the man that will find the solution for you!
Pat has been our go-to person for over 30 years. She is Tony's trusted right arm, and keeps our office running smoothly. Pat manages the accounting, and helps out with shipping and receiving whenever there is a need.
Bear Mechanical was started in 1970 and is an LLC partnership owned by Charles W. (Bill) Bear, and his sons Ray (Tony) Bear and Heith Butler.
The facility is currently home to three companies, including Bear Mechanical's state of the art machining center. Two other companies that make our facility their home are Frog Blasters International, LLC and Railroad Tools and Solutions (LLC).
Frog Blasters International, LLC performs a process familiar to railroaders called EDH to a major component of a railroad switch called a frog. The process lengthens the life span of a frog by hardening the metal manganese, from which the frog is cast.
Railroad Tools And Solutions (LLC) is a tool and supply company. This company serves railroads, contractors, transit authorities and other suppliers with tools and components. They also offer a state of the art web site for purchasing and quote requests.

Charles (Bill) Bear was a local icon. As a gift to the community and with the blessing of the Conservancy, Bill volunteered his efforts and a great deal of money to restore the landscaping of a local historical treasure, the sacred Fort Salem enclosure and Indian burial mound. Landscaping this area came with it's challenges... trees needed to be removed without disrupting the ground, for example! Bill and his crew dedicated 14 hour days to remove trees, and return the dirt in this labor intensive project. You see the Indians kept their grounds in pristine condition. This site is now open to the public, read more on website: www.fortsalemindianmound.com
Although Bill is no longer with us, his legacy lives on.
We would like to hear from you.
